Hegemony

A Time When Someone Has Asked For Your Opinion Then Cut You Off..... MY MOM!!!! The other day my mom and I were arguing and she kept asking me these questions and when i would go and answer them she would go off on me telling her I'm disrespecting her and everything, when I'm just doing what she told me to do. So i try to answer it after she stops talking, but she just does it again..

Self-Expression

Self expression I express myself in different ways, just depends on how bad it is. But if its not that bad I might do it by just ignoring people. But if its really bad then i will be pissed and won't talk to anybody. Most people know not to mess with be when I'm in a bad mood, or if i look a certain way. I sometimes tell my friends whats going on but i really don't like to talk about my feelings. Mom says I'm like my daddy, because we act just alike on everything. I guess thats just how i am. I also write when I'm really mad if i don't feel like talking. But when I'm in a good mood i smile and laugh a lot. I like to laugh and have fun with people but only if you get me mad then thats out!

"I Have a Dream Too"

I have a dream that one day this nation will not care what people wear or how much they weigh.   I have a dream that one day people will love others by whats on the inside.   I have a dream that one day that the people of this world will not have a certain style and everybody has to follow it to fit in.   I have a dream that everybody is equal and not judged.   I have a dream today.   I have a dream that one day everybody is loved the same.!   I have a dream today.   I have a dream that one day everybody looks at each other as God looks at us.   This is my hope and faith. With this faith we will be able to have a happier life and everybody be happy with each other.   This will be the day when nobody will be judged my what they wear and how much they weigh.   And when this happens, when we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Children's March

One day i was walking to the church because everybody was going there to see what Martin Luther King Jr. was going to say, and he talked about going to jail for something that he was planning on doing. But nobody stood up except for this one young girl and then all the kids started standing up. So i did too. After we all came out the church my 50s they started throwing us in the police vans but there was to many so they ditched the vans and got school buses and loaded us on them instead for more room. When we were in jail they threw us in a room and there was rats and it was very dirty, for lunch we got sandwiches that had nothing on them. But once we got out we started walking back and got sprayed with hoses from the fire department, they had a lot of power to them more then 4 people had to hold it to control it. After president Kennedy heard about it he wanted to put an end to it. So he got on the news and they announced it. It stopped eventually.

Freedom Riders

The Freedom Riders were people who wanted to end segregation. It started in 1961. In Alabama and Mississippi, they challenged the segregation. But they had angry mobs go after them and attack them. They had two buses and the first one got attacked first then the second one had sliced tires and it caught on fire. The bus drivers refused to drive them because of this. They didn't fight back because they wanted to end the segregation so they didn't want them to think bad of them and not end it. In the outcome of everything racial discrimination and segregation was banded.

Rosa Parks

If I was in Rosa Parks' spot, i would have told them that I have the same rights as them. Black people are no different then white people. We were all made the same, and there is not enough time in the world for everybody to be judging everybody. Yeah, we may be different colors but we were all built the same and all have the same thing. If you think your better then someone else well think again because your not. Nobody is better than anyone else.

In this story Tom Walker was a very greedy man. He aways cheated on and never trusted His wife. But one day when he was walking though the woods and ran into the devil and he wanted to make a deal with him, saying, if the devil gets his body or soul then he'll give his wife gold. Well the wife wanted him to take the deal, but he said no so his wife went to look for the devil and she didn't come back so Tom went to look for her. He found her liver and lungs on the ground in the woods. So he ran though the woods yelling her name. Later the devil meets up with him again and Tom ended up with a lot of money, so everybody wanted him to lend them some money, but he was greedy about it and kept it all for himself.
